HCRW is considered to be the hazardous component of HCW generated. HCRW has the potential to create a number of environmental, health and safety risks, depending on the particular HCRW category, the way in which it is handled, as well as the way in which exposure takes place.

The course aims to provide guidelines on waste reduction, segregation, collection and disposal practices in accordance with international best practices, to avoid deterioration of the natural environment and negative impacts on the health and safety of communities in the hospital.

Taking a course in managing or minimizing waste can help you identify ways to improve your existing practices.
